5. How we protect your privacy between users (privacy by design)#
- Pharmacies receive only the order items, the prescription where required, and the minimum details needed to fulfil the order. They do not receive your phone number, email, full address or payment details.
- Customers are not shown the identity of the Pharmacy that accepts the order, except as required on a tax invoice or by law.
- Delivery Partners see only the delivery address and handover information for the active order, and contact you through the app or a masked number. They must not save or share your data.
- Doctors see only the information needed for the consultation.
These rules are enforced through our partner agreements and access controls, and breaches can lead to removal from the Platform.
6. Who we share data with#
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as follows:
- Pharmacies, Delivery Partners and Doctors, to the limited extent described in Section 5.
- Service providers (data processors) that work for us under written contracts and confidentiality obligations, such as:
- cloud hosting, database, authentication, storage and push-notification providers (for example Google Firebase);
- image and document storage providers (for example Cloudinary);
- map and location providers (for example Google Maps);
- payment gateways and banks;
- SMS, WhatsApp and email providers for OTPs and notifications;
- analytics and crash-reporting tools;
- AI service providers, if we use AI-assisted features such as search or suggestions (we do not use your prescriptions or health data to train third-party AI models without your consent).
- Professional advisers such as auditors and lawyers, under confidentiality.
- Government, regulators, courts and law-enforcement agencies, where required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety and prevent fraud.
- Business transfers: if we merge, restructure or transfer our business, your data may be transferred, with the same level of protection and notice to you.
- With your consent, for any other purpose we tell you about at that time.
7. Sensitive and health data#
7.1 Prescriptions, medicines, reminders, consultations and health records reveal sensitive information. We collect and use them only with your explicit consent and only to provide the features you ask for.
7.2 We restrict internal access to this data on a need-to-know basis, protect it with encryption and access controls, and do not use it for advertising or share it with advertisers.
7.3 You can withdraw consent at any time, delete saved prescriptions and records where the law permits, or delete your account (see Section 11).
8. Location data#
We ask for location permission when you use features that need it. You can change this in your device settings at any time. If you turn it off, you can still enter an address manually, but nearby-Pharmacy matching and live tracking may not work.
9. Children's data#
9.1 The Platform is meant for adults. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must create the account and give consent on your behalf.
9.2 We do not knowingly process a child's personal data without verifiable parental or guardian consent. We do not track, monitor the behaviour of, or show targeted advertising to children.
9.3 If you believe a child has given us data without consent, contact us at rapidmedico10@gmail.com and we will delete it.
10. How long we keep your data#
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, and as required by law:
- Account data: while your account is active, and for up to [90] days after deletion for closing pending issues.
- Order, invoice and payment records: up to [8] years, as required by tax and accounting laws.
- Prescriptions and dispensing records: for the period required under drug laws (typically [3] years or more), after which they are deleted or anonymised.
- Consultation records: for the period required by Telemedicine and medical record rules.
- Support chats and call recordings: up to [12] months.
- Location data: only as long as needed for the order and tracking, then anonymised or deleted within [30] days, except where kept for dispute resolution.
- Logs and security data: up to [12] months.
- Partner KYC data: during the relationship and for the legally required period afterwards.
Where data must be kept for legal reasons, we restrict its use to those purposes.
11. Your rights#
Under Data Protection Law you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we process and the parties we have shared it with;
- Correct and update inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Erase your personal data when it is no longer needed for the purpose or you withdraw consent (subject to legal retention);
- Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as it was given, understanding that this may limit the services we can provide;
- Grievance redressal, by contacting our Grievance Officer (Section 16), and then the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved;
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.
How to use your rights: in the app go to Profile > Privacy & Data (or Delete Account), or email rapidmedico10@gmail.com from your registered email or mobile number. We may verify your identity first. We aim to respond within [30] days, or sooner where the law requires.
Account deletion: deleting your account removes or anonymises your personal data, except records we must keep by law (for example invoices and prescription records), which we retain securely and use only for those purposes.
12. Security#
We use reasonable security safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest where applicable, role-based access, authentication, secure cloud infrastructure, activity logging, regular reviews and staff confidentiality obligations. No system is completely secure, so please protect your device, use a screen lock, and never share your OTPs.
If a personal data breach affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.

14. Transfers outside India#
Our service providers may store or process data on servers located outside India. Where this happens, we ensure the data is protected by appropriate safeguards and contracts, and only to countries not restricted by the Government of India under Data Protection Law.
15. Third-party links and services#
The Platform may link to third-party websites or use third-party services (maps, payment pages). Their privacy practices are not covered by this Policy. Please read their policies before sharing data with them.
